Centre is pleased to be able to keep customers up to date on the
arrivals, products carried, monthly specials and sales items, class
information and any other information we think you may find interesting.
The monthly specials will be updated regularly so keep an eye on this
area as there will be some good deals to be had.
Mornington Wool Centre
was established in March 1971 and has been in continuous operation ever
since. Over the years there have been a few previous owners and I have
owned the business since 1998. Located in a little mall off Main Street,
we try to offer a wide selection of knitting yarns, pattern books and
craft items and we strive to be as informative and helpful as possible.
Mornington Wool Centre has increased the range of wool and other
items in stock continuously over the last eleven years. I have also
increased embroidery and beading to the point where when approached by a
well know teacher, Helan Pearce, to hold classes I decided to expand and
open a shop in Yuilles Road – Mornington Embroidery Centre.
Mornington Embroidery Centre
began
in April 2004 when Embroidery is "U" closed in Frankston.
I bought some of her stock and fittings, transferred excess stock
from the wool centre and added lots more. We were up and running
with a good range of embroidery threads, beads, jewellery findings,
braids, laces, books, handcraft books and of course, Helan's classes
and workshops plus a variety of different classes.
In
2007 when Patchwork On The Peninsula decided to close I bought some of
their stock and added lots more, so we now carry over 1.200 bolts of
fabric and various patchwork books, patterns and accessories in
addition to the previous stock and increased out class list to include
patchworking.
We are now know as
Mornington Embroidery & Patchwork Centre.
